Do you know what we've done/ignored in the middle east? Ignored in Africa? Ignored in China for a long time? Dude, you have no idea how many innocent people we've chosen not to help because it would not benefit us financially or politically. We act ignorant and overlook those times. I'm not even saying what happened today was minor, by a long shot, but I'm saying we have no right to say we're the holiest place on earth and are as innocent as an angel. We've had blood on our hands many times.

please dont let this turn into a bickering fest. its starting to sound like SC vs turbo. i feel today is the worst day in American history. never has such an attack been executed on our soil, one with civilian and military targets.

seeing the acts of horror unfold live on television this morning has had a profound impact on me. i have never before felt such an orientation with this country. this is a time for all of us to support one another, and peacefully share ideas. the preciousness of American soil has been voilated. we have no idea what the future holds.

its apparent to me we've entered a new chapter in the history of the world. its no longer a country vs country battle like our grandparents gave their lives in.

I mourn the personal was well as moral and symbolic losses we have sustained today.

I just left my job in Manhattan 4 months ago to come back to CT. I called my former co-workers... they watched the entire thing unfold, even happened to be outside for the first plane collision.

My condolances to all those affected.

Lets hope we can put a stop to this type of attack without compromising our personal freedom (is that even possible?)

No one or no country is perfect. But, this was REALLY bad. The U.S. has done and ignored some sketchy political events throughout the world. But, there are no words for this in my mind. To me terrorism is evil merely because it's main goals are to send a message of "death?" Seriously, what did they hope to gain? The attackers haven't even identified themselves. As for the sketchy acts that the U.S. may or may not have committed, at least the "other" people of the U.S. have tried to do good. But, when was the last time you heard that a terrorist group did any good?

I'm just worried about the response and I wanted to make people realize that when we stomp around the world, others notice obviously. Should we piss off other countried when seeking justice, we could just further hurt ourselves. It may sound like BS but it's true. We have to make sure we have as many countries sided with what we decide to do or we'll end up shooting ourselves in the foot.

This could get worse....getting emotional and making a hasty decision never works.

As i sit here trying to figure out a way to respond to this. I dont really know how to word this without sounding like i am flaming you. so please dont take this as a flame.

Yes we have ignored certain things based on their economic impact on our country. And of course we are not the holiest country on this earth but that does NOT Give anyone the Right to bomb our American Soil, And kill our brothers. We did not intentionaly Hurt anyone in those countries you listed. We did not Do anything diliberatly to any of those people.

Our friends Our family Our brothers have been slaughtered today. Our foundation of America has be shaken, Our World has been forever changed by these Radicals who caused these problems. Our world is no longer safe, I will never be able to look at an airplane the same way with out wondering if its gonna crash into a building. Wonder if while walking down the streets of birmingham if a building is going to fall on me.

These Assholes have Ruined everything holy. and have caused us to rethink everything we do. Everthing that goes on from here on out will be influnced by this one day.

The world is different now. The world is no longer safe. Alot of people here in the USA Thought they were living behind a Shield. The Shield of the USA.... Everything is so different now.

I suggest this thread be locked. We are all saddened and angry at the events of the past day. But everyone has a different view on it, and 800 angry views aren't going to do anyone any good.
